Shawn Laplante grew up in southern New Hampshire, making little movies and stories, reading comics and watching films. For a short five years, he worked at a video store, where he watched thousands of films, giving him an education all in itself and where a love for film grew out of minimum wage.

Later, in college, Shawn primarily studied filmmaking and screenwriting at the University of New Hampshire, Manchester campus, and continued on to get a Bachelor in Communication Arts degree with a focus in film, and a minor in Computer Information Systems.

Afterwards, he went on to do Flash development full time, which he currently still does, while working on his own projects in the off hours.
